FAQ
How can I get the lowest
price on short-run 4 color process?
We would gain run 4 to 8 jobs to give you the lowest price
possible. However, this can take 7 to 14 days. Earliest
ordering is recommended.
How do I choose the size
of my flyers to make it cost effective?
First, consider the availability of the parent sheet size.
For instance, if the parent sheet size is 23” x 35”,
it would be good for a layout of 8 up of 8 ½”
x 11” size (not bleeding), 4 up on the 11” x
17” size (not bleeding). If you want your flyer to
have 4 sides bleeding on 8 ½” x 11” or
11” x 17”, then you should choose 24”
x 36” or 25” x 38”. The bigger the parent
size that you choose, the more you will have to pay. If
you can lay out more up on a bigger parent sheet, the less
you will pay. For instance, if you want 8 ½”
x 14” flyer (legal size), you can lay down 4 up vertical
and 2 up horizontal on 24” x 36” or 25”
x 38”. If you reduce your flyer size to 8 ½”
x 13 1/8” you can lay down 8 up on 28” x 40”.
2 more up can bring down the total running sheets and make
the running time short. This means it will be less money
that you will spend (i.e. will be cost-effective).
Second, you can have your job gain run with other similar
jobs. For instance, if you want to print 4 color postcards,
4 color business cards, and 4 color presentation folders,
or 6 page cover brochures, you can lay them all out on 25”
x 38” parent sheet. We can output 4 pieces of 25”
x 38” size films or plates. Therefore, you will save
2, 3, time for make ready and you will save 4 or 8 more
plates plus all the running and press cleaning time. Can
you imagine how much money you would save? Hundreds, even
thousands of dollars.
How long will it take
to print my job?
It depends on the number of colors, the quantity, and how
you will provide your print job. If you provide the final
films and proof, it only takes 2 to 3 days to complete your
job. However, if you provide digital film it will take 2
more days to output the films and proof. In the event that
the paper company does not have the paper you want, they
will need to place an order to the paper mill which can
take 7 to 15 days until we receive the shipment.
What are your business
hours?
We operate from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Mon – Fri. However,
you can reach us after business hours and a live person
will answer and respond to your calls and assist you like
a friend. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
What is the difference
between sheetfed and web presses?
Sheetfed presses run sheet by sheet; thus, takes a bit longer
time to run (speed of run is from 6 to 11 thousand per hour).
Web presses run 20 to 30 thousand per hour. Web presses
run faster than sheetfed presses because they run up and
down (front and back) at the same time. The paper on the
web presses come with the roll; therefore, it is cheaper
than single sheet size. However, the QUALITY of work run
on the sheetfed press is much better. The line screen on
the sheetfed can produce 150-200 lines, but on the web it
can only produce 100-120 line screen. Therefore, the quality
of the image is poor on the web press. Due to the speed
on the web press, the registration of an image is not precise
and accurate as on the sheetfed press. So depending on what
type of quality and price you are looking for, you can decide
which press would be best for you.
